Dear All,
In SQLserver2005 -Logshipping, Primary database failed, when Iam trying to bring secondary database online, I have restored previous log backup with recovery rather than restoring of latest log backup.
Logbackup_201103111200.trn
Logbackup_201103111215.trn
Logbackup_201103111220.trn
i.e I have restored the Logbackup_201103111200.trn with recovery on secondary database rather than Logbackup_201103111220.trn with recovery.
Please some one advise how can I restore Logbackup_201103111215.trn & Logbackup_201103111220.trn backups on secondary database since there is data mismatch with Primary?
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi.

i will suggest to restart your process from full and then subsequential log in series with norecovery/standby option till you reach the last log backup.

Thanks Ashish.
But how can I come out from this situation?
Is data after 1200 lost or is there anyway to get the data or how can I restore the Logbackup_201103111215.trn & Logbackup_201103111220.trn backups on secondary database( which is in online now).
Please advise.
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi.

as long your backup files are safe, you can still restore till your last log backup beginning from full backup.
Do one thing,
rename the database which you restored by mistake as dbname_incomplete.
and then start restoring as new database by mentioning its name from full backup and then alll but not latest log backup with norecovery and then last logbackup with recovery.
Also if you want to see data after every restore then you need to restore the full/log with standby option.
