Hello,
Two days ago I started to receive this error in my SQL Server log file. I see this kind of error first time in three years. It shows up every 24 seconds. As I know as DBA, no changes where mande in SQL server configuration. After using SQL server profiler I got more details:
Hostname: SQL Server
Application Name: OSQL-32
TextData: Login failed for user 'sa'
Jobs and Maintenance Plans occure only once a day, so I guess this is not an issue. Doens anyone has any thoughts?
Thanks

Google using 'OSQL-32'. Plenty of info there.

Thanks, P R,
I didn't know that... Your post was very informative and meaningful!
Thanks, Ahmed,
I've already checked that, but it is not my case. It should be something else I think.
I checked processes under task management, but could not find osql also. Because it is a short attmept to login to SQL server which fails, I cann't get more details. It is our production server I can make some testing after work hours only.
We have Win2k3 OS and SQL2000 SP4

It looks the problem is solved!
We have MS System Center Operation Manager 2007 installed and after the last update during the last weekend it began to check whether sa pass is not blanc on SQL servers. When we deactivated this option, there are no more errors.

Vidas
