    The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452).

    SQL Server 2005

    Mixed Mode Authentication

    The user, in question, is part of a Windows group that has read access/deny write access to a database on the instance. He is using Windows authentication to try to connect to the db. Other users in the Windows group can connect just fine. Not sure what's going on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    At the OS level, is auditing for logon events turned on where you can success and failure? If so, is there anything in the Security event log corresponding to his attempts to connect? Can other users connect from his workstation?
