On reviewing our requirements we decided to go with the SQL2000 Standard edition, The one thing we would like to have is log shipping but it was decided that it wasn't worth the expense. Any ideas on how to get this functionality (or similar) with the Standard Ed.?

hi there were some scripts in the SQL Server 7.0 Back office resource kit that implemented log shipping (a few tables and stored procedures) that we used to implement log shipping. These still seem to work in SQL Server 2000.

Paul,
Have you used the scripts from the BORK? That is one thing I have been meaning to play with for some time, but have not yet had the time to do so.
If so, what was your experience, and can you compare this method to the Enterprise Log Shipper?
Thanks!

We are using somewhat modified scripts from the 7 BORK for log shipping in SQL2K Standard and are happy with them, but I am also curious about anyone who can compare them against enterprise.
