I have successfully setup log shipping between our primary site and a remote site and 2 databases. I finally got it working after trial and error, but now wish I had set 2 of the databases to be in Standy/READ ONLY mode and did not. What are my options?
Can I temporarily disable Transaction Log shipping by disabling the job (I have used the built in Log Shipping in SQL 2000 vs. custom). Backup the 'remote' database and restore setting it to Standby and turn back on Log Shipping?
I can't find anyway to easily change the database from NORECOVERY to Standby so if I am missing something much easier please let me know.
