Log Shipping & Log files

    Quick question - ihave log shipping configured and the log file on the secondary server is sitting at around 34GB. Is there any way to shrink that with out haveing to re sync the shipping ?

    if its at 34GB on the secondary it must be the same on the primary. Run the shrink on the primary and the effect of the shrink will be copied over to the secondary.

    Are you sure the log does not need to be that size to cope with normal activity, or was there an abnormal event that has caused the log to grow?

    Thanks for the reply, not sure what caused it to grow so much, that is under investigation. However It is now back down to its expected size along with the primary.
