Log shipping from SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise to SQL 2008 R2 Developer edition

    Hi,

    Can i have a with standby configured when Primary is SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise and Secondary is SQL 2008 R2 Developer edition. As i want to use the secondary for read-only reporting purpose.

    I don't think it's legal to use the Developer Edition for anything other than develpment. You shouldn't be using it for production reporting, or production anything, for that matter.

    And then again, I might be wrong ...

    Yes we are setting up Log shipping in our development environment. My concern is whether that the "With standby" will work or not between enterprise and developer edition?

    Will it work - Yes

    But from your first post, using it for reporting, using Developer edition will breach the T&C's you accept at install time
