Hi,
I am just developing log shipping between 2 of my server. I have a question about failover. Once I switched secondary server to primary, and my First(former primary) server recovered, Do I have to reload backup to old backup and re-config log shipping or there way to restore both server in pre-switch state ?
Also log shipping don't require enterprise edition ? I read it don't.
Thanks

Unless something has changed, once you have recovered the Original Secondary, and it is now the Current Primary, you would have to Log Ship (or backup/restore/detach/copy/whatever) it back to its original destination, recover it, and then re-establish log shipping.
Hope that helps...

The role reversal in Log shipping is a documented process on MSDN, see this link
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/ms178117(v=sql.110).aspx
Log shipping is available in standard edition since SQL Server 2005
