Log Shipping db copying and restoring failing

  • Hi,

    i have created the Log Shipping in my system.it taking backups of transaction logs and working fine and in the secondary server the backups are not moving and restoring opertion also not done.

    i checked the jobs in secondary server copy job and restore job.it will failing for continusly.can any one slove this problem

    and i have also anthoer problem

    In Log shipping process, Primary Server’s Primary Database is crashed after taking backup, then how you bring the secondary server into Online without any data loss?

    Your post is a little disjointed and has nowhere enough information. Let's start from the beginning.

    1) Did you create your logshipped database with a Full database backup? (as opposed to copying over data & log files).

    2) Has the log chain on the primary server been broken by things such as changing the recovery model or taking other backups or restoring that database from a backup?

    3) Are you sure the logs are getting shipped to the new server?

    4) What is the error message (the complete error message) from the secondary server's SQL Agent error logs and from the job log?
