Log shipping

    Hi,

    While configuring the log shipping environment, i faced a problem.

    Problem is the check box provided for "Use monitor server instance"

    in the "Transaction log shipping" section of the database property is

    disabled. Thus i am unable to set the monitor server properties.

    Can anyone please tell me how to enable this checkbox or any possible

    alternative for the same?

    Please specify the monitor server edition and version.

    sql server 2005 standard edition

    and version is 9.00.3042.00

    Hi

    A monitoring instance cannot be configured after the log shipping is implemented.

    So you need to define this before you hit the OK button!

    I use log shipping with replicated databases and can confirm your finding but it does only happen to me if I make all the configuration and activate them.
