Hi,
We have log shipping setup for a criticle application databases. Log shipping is running fine without any issues.
Is there any chance to degrade the application performance due to the log shipping.

It will have negligible impact. These are backups of the transaction logs. Transaction logs are broken into VLFs (virtual log files) which are many mini buckets within the transaction log itself. The transaction log backup will grab these buckets which will have no write activity to them as they are already full. When it gets to the active bucket, it cuts it there and begins writing to a new bucket (VLF) which will be the starting point for the next log backup.

Doubtful that you would see application performance degrading from log shipping - are you seeing performance issues?

NO. Just i would like to know if there is any relation to application performance with Logshipping.
