Hi,
I have received a laptop which has 2 SQL Server services installed on it.One is SQLServer Express Edition and another one is a SQLServer Developer edition and both of them are running under Network Service.
For the Express edition I am able to log in but my server role is public and I cannot create new databases while when I try to connect to the Developer edition it shows log in failed.
What am I missing here ?
Thanks

search ssc for "lost sa password". Those threads will get you started.

Unfortunately none of the posts on ssc were helpful.
One that helped was this
But somehow it works only if you run the DOS prompt as an administrator.Strange....
