Log file grows to hard (from mirrored database)

Gail/Ali, Is there any way to restore the data from Mirror to Primary if something happened to primary data?

The mirror is exactly that. A complete mirror image of the principal. If data is deleted from the principal the log records are shipped across immediately and the data will be deleted from the mirror as well.

If the principal DB fails completely, the mirror can be brought into an active state and a backup taken to recreate the principal, but mirroring is of no help at all for accidental deletion/modification of data. Unlike log shipping there isn't a built-in delay.

  • Ok. Got it, Thanks.
