Log file growing unexpectedly

  Hi All,

  Require your thoughts and solution for the issue.

  The log file is growing alarmingly and when the backup is taken its taking huge space.

  .mdf - 242 MB

  .ldf - 8.2 GB

  This issue has surfaced from last week.

  Previously we have encountered the same issue, the size of back up was around 20 GB

  .mdf - 180 MB

  .ldf - 28 GB

  We had deleted the replication and re created. The replication happens between Bangalore and Colombo server.

  Now I do not want to reconfigure the replication.

  Please guide me.

  Is the replication working correctly? If yes, are you backing up the transaction log at the Publisher?
