Has anyone ever seen this message when a Log Backup has failed:
"BACKUP failed to complete the command set language us_english"
Thanks in advance for the help.

Nope, never seen that. How are you doing your backups? What does your backup command look like?

We are using a product called DBShadow and the command is calling a DBShadow backup command. Here it is:
C:\Libelle\trsql\bin\trsql.sh -s 204.61.156.26 -db INTER -switch logfile
I'm not sure what you'll get from that but I do appreciate your opinion.

I've never heard of DBShadow, so I can't help with that. I would suggest you calling the vendor and seeing what they say. Question: why aren't you just using the native SQL Server backup commands to do your backups?

I'm new to DBShadow and what I can tell you is it's a Log Shipping product. This backup that failed is in addition to the Log Shipping backups that DBShadow is doing, kind of a redundant Log backup. I think calling the vendor is a good suggestion though, thanks.

Ah, two backups going on. Possibly tried to backup at the same time? Maybe you can't log ship at the same time a backup is being performed.
