Log and Data placement on a SAN.

    the idea that every node has it's own resource database doesn't sound logical to me.

    It's to allow the removal of updates and service packs.

    For updates of the system objects.... So why keep it locally and not on the clustered disks? just as it was with SQL Server 2005..
