Locks not realeasing

    Hello - We currently have a scenario where a spid (spid A) will block other spids from finishing. Eventually spid A appears to finish, but does not release the locks so the other spids are still blocked. However our application moves on as if the process finished. The problem is that we eventually have to kill spid A which causes everything to roll back. Since the application moved on, our end users are seeing the data and then it mysteriously (to them) disappears. Obviously this is not good.

    Any ideas on what I can look at while the spid is in this 'ghost' state? Any ideas in general?
