We installed clustered SQL Server 2008 R2 without problems, I think. I set up domain accounts for the services but 2 of the 7 expected local groups weren't installed.
SQLServerMSSQLUser & SQLServerSQLAgentUser
Is this specific to 2008 R2 or clustering? If those groups are supposed to be installed, how hard is it to add them manually? The 4 rights common to both groups (log on as a service, etc.) are easy enough to add but I'm stumped on the next 4 that SQLServerMSSQLUser needs. How do I add those?
Permission to start SQL Server Active Directory Helper
Permission to start SQL Writer
Permission to read the Event Log service
Permission to read the Remote Procedure Call service
Let me know if I need to elaborate and thanks in advance.
