Loading from multiple sources into a flat file

  • Hi,

Can any one help me with this issue.

I hav 3 different tables and i want to load the data from these tables into a single flat file by appending one after the other. I tried the following way

I took three data flow tasks and 3 flat file destinations and i used the same flat file connection manager for all the

flat file destinations and in the control flow task i set the precedence constraints on the data flow tasks.

    but it is not working.

    Please suggest me something.

    Thank you in advance.

    Kevin

  • You say id did not work, What happens? does the output get over written? do you get an error?

This will help formulate the next set of questions or ultimatley a response.

If only I could snap my figures and have all the correct indexes apear and the buffer clean and.... Start day dream here.

  • the result gets over written.

  • @Dan.Humphries:

I got it this time. I forgot to uncheck the overwrite data in the file checkbox.

I would appreciate if you could tell me if there is any better way of doing this.

    Thank you
