Listbox / table

    I am new to SSRS 2k8 Report Builder 3. I am trying to make a report wherein emp details are retrieved in a dataset

    It Contains EMpID, EmpName, Photo, ProjectsHandled, Year, ProjectOwner, Duration.

    i want to display them in two sections. If Using Listbox then in first listbox , the EmpName, EmpID and photo of the employee in one page and followed by Listbox 2 as thier project details, which shud be on a new page. and diff page for diff projects.

    First page will have diffrent formatting than the the subsequent pages.

    E.g - An emp has 2 projects then

    John, Al-001 & photo format as on list 1 as Page 1

    John, projects no 1 , 2008, Paul & 6 months - list 2 as Page 2

    John, projects no 2 , 2009, Vishi & 18 months - list2 as Page 3

    then second employee

    Martin, Al-001 & photo on page 1

    Martin, projects no 1 , 2010, Tom & 6 months - Page 2

    Martin, projects no 2 , 2010, Arnold & 18 months - Page 3

    How to achieve this?

    The problem am having is the listbox1 would continually display all the employees then move on to the second list and display the details. Both the listbox are using same dataset.

    i tried to be as clear as possible. Pls suggest me any solution.

  • I suggest using a summary report first that contains a list off all the employees general information, then make the employee name a drill through to a detailed report that lists everything about that employee as you described.
