Hi
I have a server with SQL Server 2005 in one domain(test1.domain.com) and another sql server 2005 in another domain(test2.domain1.com)
How can i make a Linked Server in test1 pointing to test2.
I am getting error message "Could not open connection to SQL Server[53]"
THanks
Liju

How do you connect to that server? I have linked servers running in 3 domains without ( well, almost) problems. Can you verify that there are no blocking on, say port 1433. Make sure that you are connecting to the other server thru qualifying name: myserver.mydomain.com

Are you using the Fully Qualified Domain name?
Also, how do the domains communicate?
