Link access to SQL server

    I want to link some tables from access 2000 database, to an other sql server database.

    Hi,

    I have tried a couple of methods and both have worked for me

    the stored procedure sp_addlinkedserver.  This creates a linked server, which allows access to queries against the selected data source.  Your best bet is to look in the SQL Server Books On Line for the exact syntax.

    Or

    Conversely you can use the linked servers option within the security folder on the desired SQL Server.
