Limitations on Reporting Services, Workgroup Edition

    Hi

    Having a spot of bother using data sources for connecting to another servers database, local works fine.

    Is this a configuration issue, or is it prevented in this edition?

    It may be a configuration problem because it is not related to edition per the edition features comparision chart below.  Hope this helps.

    Agreed, this should be a configuration issue. What error(s) are you getting? Have you tried just using the standard ODBC tool just to see if you can make a connection from that system just as you're specifying it in SSRS?
