Can anybody directo me to where I can read about licensing when it comes to multiple users in an database application I am writing? It is an IIS/ASP/SQL Server app. The application has multiple users, but there is only one user from the IIS server to the DB. If I have 100 users I'd like to know how many licenses I need and the type of licensing to handle the "only" one userid that is connecting to the SQL Server.
TIA.

see http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/faq.asp
If you have a per processor licence it doesn't matter how many connections. If you have Server plus device CAL then you need 100 CALS, one for each user, The IIS connection is irrelevant in terms of licensing. Note is a workstation has a CAL for application A and you build a second application for that workstation, they don't need a second CAL.
