License Upgrade From SQl 7

  I have a SQL 7 server environment with 10 CALs and I want to upgrade to SQL 2005. If I buy a single SQL 2005 server license do I have to buy new CALs as well or are my existing CALs valid with 2005 as well?

  That is a question you will need to ask Microsoft. I do believe you can get a CAL version of 2005 and upgrade (at a cost) the CALs. But to b sure you get the right information and best costing I do suggest you call Microsoft and speak with a sales person.
