Hello sysadmins. I've been tasked with becoming more familiar with SQL, and I've only really just been exposed to it. What route do you guys suggest on how to learn or to get more familiar with SQL? The end goal here is to become a DBA for my company, but my current situation is I am one of two IT guys. The main program that my business uses is SQL based and this would give us a huge leg up on how to get it working better for us. I would appreciate any help what-so-ever

I would start with this site, and the Stairway series.

As you go through these articles, they should create many questions that can be used as a learning opportunity.

If you assassinate a DBA, would you pull a trigger?

There is also the Accidental DBA series that is pretty solid on SQLSKills
