Latch wait time

    Hi All, Need urgent help. While monitoring an app. with perfmon, I noticed that the total latch wait time has jumped all of sudden to average 6.5s.... The server has 2G of memory and 4 cpu's -- all reads -

    what should i be trouble-shooting? And how do i resolve this issue.. The web users are complaining of delayed responses from the server.. Thx in advance...

    Its a sql 2000 box..

    My Bad , guys - please ignore this post.. I was running Profiler and that seemed to be inducing the big jump in the latch time counter... Once I stopped Profiler, things went back to normal.. I was able to redo it..
