Heh... Edge. Take a look at Task Manager when that puppy is open with even just 1 window.

I'm one of those guilty developers who used an IE control in one or two Windows applications I've written over the years. At present those apps aren't in use. (The company I worked for at the time I wrote those apps, went out of business.) But I thank you, Steve, for that link to an SO article. I'll save this Database Weekly email, just in case.
Kindest Regards, Rod Connect with me on LinkedIn.

SharePoint online currently requires you to enable IE mode or use IE in order for the open in Explorer option to work on the toolbar as I needed it in order to set up an SSIS task. Also then SSIS didn't support 2 factor authentication or even an app password so I had to disable all modern security to get it to connect.
Outlook will still only open HTML emails in Internet Explorer too. If you open in Edge it just shows the code. HTML emails have to be based on legacy HTML standards.
It seems such a mess of old and new standards that no-one has ever taken the time to fix. There is no point adding extra deadlocks to the front if the back door is only protected by a single fragile and rusty lock!
