I'm sure that other parts of Deutschland drink beer in copious quantities.

I feared you would mention this.
Maybe because I'm biased, maybe it is my total lack of understanding, but I have my difficulties seeing any sense in these kind of collective p*ss-up (thanks to my dictionary for this
) parties. Sure thing, that in other parts of Germany people drink beer.
...and it is scientifically proved that the quality of alcohol in wheat beer is inferior and tends to give you more headache than other beer.
And last, but not least, given the choice I would always prefer a glass of good Tempranillo or Shiraz over any kind of beer.
Having that said, have a drink on this superb day (so close to the weekend)!

Always a good time to have a drink. I always structure my Friday to end early because it's 5'o clock somewhere.
