Job Step failure/success

  Hello

  I am running a SQL job and I want the job to do one thing on failure and another on failure. What constitutes failure or success in a job step?

  Hi,

  U can have multiple 'steps' for one Job.

  (In SQL Server Agent, there is a tab named 'steps' where u can add multiple steps each consisting of a different query)

  When u create a job(Or when u go to edit a job) u get an edit window with a tab named 'advanced'

  In that tab, u have the option of selecting what to do if the job succeeds or vice versa.
