job running

    I have a sql2k job running now and I saw one step further down that I had to do an update on.  Will those changes take effect when that step runs or only when the job runs next time?

    If you try to make a change to the job itsself it won't let you because the job is running. If you modify say a stored procedure that the job calls I do belive it will run with that change it looks for the next step out of the msdb database in the sysjobsteps table as it gets to them.
