Ok I have Just Installed an Win NT4.0 Server with SQL Server 7 Sp3. Standart Edition
I Have Copied a Job from another server which copy a backup file from the lan and restores a Database
The Files are in place and the accoutn of the server service and the agent service are more than suffisiont , the job is beeing run by sa,
I verified the NT logs and the SQL server logs and found out that the retore succeded , I even dleted the tables from the database and rerun the job , All tables were accounted for.
But Steel I get a Fail Message on the step.
5 The Seystem treeted freestmt/close [SQLSTATE 01S05] (Error 0) DBCC execution completed.
(Now comes the restore operation information)

The first thing to check when you have a new job fail is; what is the response when a job succeeds?
Using Enterprise Manager, drill down to Jobs. Click on the job and select properties. Look in the column that shows what should occur when the job succeeds. Is it set to report the job failed?
