Job Fail

    Hi

    In my merge replication , there is one REPL-MERGE agent job that executes after every 9 min and the job is failing continously from the past one day. The error is throws is :

    "The process couldnot deliver updates at the Publisher".

    I got some help from the MSDN as well which says " This message is most likely the result of contention on the merge replication system tables that can occur when these tables have grown excessively large."

    So the solution they gave is to add the below mentioned Paramters in the Run Agent Step.

    -DownloadGenerationsPerBatch 100

    -UploadGenerationsPerBatch 20

    I added the same but didnt found this helpful . Can you please advise what can be done.

    I have just checked that system table " sp_mergecleanupmetadata" is excessively large. Is this could be the reason for this failure ???
