I've been having an issue lately with logging in and out.
I select Logout, then click on the Logout button.
Then I go to other websites or close my browser completely.
When I come back to SQLServerCentral.com, the option says LOGOUT. But I'm already logged out or should be.
So I select it again, go to the logout page, click the button again.
Then the option shows Login. I select that, go to the login page and login.
Next I go to Active Pages. And when I go to reply or create a new post, it asks me for my Username and Password.
I end up having to LOGIN again.
What's up with this? It's as though SQLServerCentral.com can't figure out if I'm logged in or not. I end up bouncing back and forth trying to actually login.

We are using the old Snitz login technology which works with cookies. I suspect there is some issue here. If you delete your cookie, does it log you out?

I think I figured it out.
Normally after clicking on Logout in the bar, it goes to the LOGOUT page. Then when LOGOUT is clicked it takes a short while, but the LOGIN page appears.
I have found that if you click the second LOGOUT and close the browser or go to another site BEFORE you get the LOGIN page, it appears to end up being confused as to your status (logged in or out).

Thanks for the followup. I suspect that the 2nd page actually deletes the cookie.
