isql stops working when ssl is applied

    Sorry, guess I should have mentioned that Query analyzer work and so does osql, just not Isql. Thanks!

    Is the SSL port open (In firewall)?

    Some patche's close ports...

    Make sure you are able to ping/telent the IP and port. If not, you have to check how to open the Ip/Port. As long as IP/port is reachable it should work.

    any error messages?

    do you have Sybase Client?

    No error mssgs at all, I just get returned to the c:\> command prompt instead of the 1> command prompt. No, not sure why I would want a sybase client installed, the full sql server db and client are installed.
