I like to keep an eye on any rogue SQL installations that pop up on the network with the isql -L command. That command has now stopped working and returns the following error:
Net-Library does not support server enumeration
osql -L still works.
What's going on? I'm running SQL 2000 client tools on 2000 pro.
cheers

You could try the (free) sqlping utility to can your network (http://www.sqlsecurity.com)
The new beta version also tells you the real sql version, hence you can check the patch levels to boot.
