We have person A and B
Person A has sql 2000 install to his pc
Person B doesn't have sql 2000 in his pc
Person A created a batch file which is composed of an osql statement. Can Person B run the batch file in his pc and the file will connect to Person A's pc for the program to execute? Any other workaround for this kind of scenario?

1) you could install a connectivity client (but you'll have to check if that contains OSQL)
2) as a workaround, you could "remote submit" the bat file using sysinternals psexec.

I think the 1st solution will not be applicable since he will not be permitted to install a client connectivity. I've read some articles about psexec I think this will help thanks a lot 🙂
