Hi there,
can you recommend a database magazine that covers all database environments (MySQL, MSSQL, NoSQL, everything...?
We had a good bi-monthly mag in Germany ("database developer") but it was closed down.
My 10 minute Google search didn't help, so I desperately need your help^^

It seems to be that magazines are no longer a valid communications method. The internet resources available have taken over that function.
That's why Newsweek will no longer be printed.

I have to agree. I think I've seen maybe one printed database-centric magazine in the past 10 years. In today's environment, you need to find and follow different forums, and search for articles online. Vast amounts of information are added every day. It's really a better medium, because articles are often accompanied by critical discussions that flesh out their topics to an even greater extent. Good hunting.

There's SQL Magazine (focused only on SQL Server) who did have a printed issue, but recently they switched over to e-magazines only.

Thank you all for your response,
I still like paper-based media, but maybe I am also too old-fashioned.
sqlmag is good, but covers only SQL Server, the best site I found so far that covers all db technologies is: http://www.databasejournal.com.
Best Regards,
Arthur

I agree with Arthur, I like the magazines also. I do like SQL magazine, and really liked the print form. I guess we're saving trees now.

Of course, SQLServerCentral.com is great for SQL Server, but for one-stop-shopping, you might try http://www.databasejournal.com. It covers SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Access, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase, etc. Probably doesn't go as in-depth as a dedicated-db site, but should give well-rounded information for all.

Anyone know of a website "App" or app for SQL Server tech articles ..or (magazine/newspaper style?) - like they do for "news" consolidation. There are some no the iPad which are nice, and Micrsoft's surface has cool app for news consolidate that give it a "news paper" feel?
