Hi,
Im wondering if there is a way to view a linked table in access, from a linked server connection on the sql server. At the minute, all i can view is tables actually within the access database, but not the linked ones.
Any help appreciated
Cheers
Andrew

Hello Andrew,
I don’t believe you can as SQL Server Linked Servers are (sort of) one way.
You could link to SQL Server tables from within Access (but I guess you know that already).

Hi Andrew
I am assuming that you are using Access to view a SQL database via linked tables and that on the SQL server you have created a linked server to another database...if this is correct then all you need to do is create and save a view in the SQL database of the data you require from the linked server.
Access will see this view and allow you to link to it.
Alternatively use an Access project (ADP) to connect to SQL and you can then directly create the view from Access.
