I want to restrict the backups to run in low priority, use low disk reads and writes so the filer is happy and can I use resource governor to restrict only backups and sql agent jobs? Iops restriction is not helping in governor.

Disclaimer... I'm still stuck in 2005 and haven't actually tried either of these methods, yet.

I have tried using resource governor, but whenever the job runs it show the sql server service account in the activity monitor, where as i have another login which i created for backup purpose, this new login i created is not shown in the activity monitor when the backup job is running, so i do not want restrict the service account,
