Hi all, I am developing a website for a company, and we are deciding if we should upgrade to SQLServer 2005. Right now I am having problem finding a way to access the SQLServer 2005 remotely, before I have been using SQLServer 2000 Developer Edition to do that. Does anyone know if there is a version of SQLServer 2005 that is free that allows you to do local development and testing and also access another instance remotely?
Thanks much.

Neither lists a Developer Edition
I don't know if Express Edition (which is temporarily free) allows accessing other instances?

Boon,
Yes, there is a SQL 2005 Developers Edition. I am not what it costs normally but with our nonprofit discount it is only $16. It is probably around $50 normally.

Yes we just purchased a version of Developer 2000 for $35 each, our seller said 2005 is the same price as well.
