I just got back from my first PASS and it was a great time. Got to meet lots of helpful, friendly people and learned a lot. Most of the presestations were insightful and I got some tips I can use here at work. One of the benefits is meeting knowledgable people who may answer a question for me in the future. Plus the Tap Room, 160 beers on tap; can't beat that!

I can't comment on the value of the PASS Summit, I'd just like to know if that is a couple of kilts I see in the picture?

I thought it would be well worth it (especially the pre and post conference seminars) but my company did not...:crying:
So that is why I am at my desk writing this.
Next year I will pay my own way...

Those are kilts, Grant Fritchey and myself.

FYI, if you register for the PASS Summit now, it's $995, < $100 a month for your education/networking

@steve-2: can I use the SSC code if I register early?
I loved PASS. I didn't skip a single session slot, and still only attended less than 10% of the sessions. The keynote speeches were too long.
I made sure it was worth it to my Company. I reported on the conference to my boss after I had implemented 2 things to the server and had plans for 2 more, based on what I had learned. He was impressed enough that he already approved next years PASS request! I'm already packed! Now if I can just make room in my brain.

Use the code from last year (SSC3D) for now. We don't have a new one set up yet, but I'll be working on that over the next week or two.

The Summit is worth it, if you participate! Sure there is value in the sessions, but there is even more value in the people that you meet, if you make the effort. I made close to 100 connections, some were SSC and Twitter folks, but others were just other attendees. I know those connections will pay off at some point.
I paid the majority of the cost I had to pay myself, hotel was brutal even sharing a room and it was worht every cent, so even if you have to pay your own way DO IT! Especially if you register now.
Sorry that I did not meet you Dave and Dan, maybe next year?

Sorry I missed you as well Jack. I was looking for you. I understand that my doppelganger was there as well, and I never caught up with him (Dan Guzman the MVP, and Deep Dive author).

Didn't meet THAT Dan Guzman either.

First timer at Pass Summit. Great time and great learning experience. Looking to do so again next year.
