is startup time held in any view?

  • This has got to be so easy but I need to extract the startup time of SQL server 2005 for a report and I cant find it anywhere!

before I go completely :w00t: please can anyone tell me the view, procedure etc that I need.

    Thank you

    Sue

  • It's not stored anywhere alone that I know of.

I usually query sys.dm_exec_sessions and get the login time of session_id 1. It's the Resource Monitor and it starts when SQL starts and does not disconnect.

  • Thank you, that works a treat for what I need it for!
