hi
i have SQL server 2008R2 developer edition (x64). So far i have NOT installed any of the service pack so i'm using the first actual release of the SQL server 2008R2 developer edition. Recently i've tried to set a job from SQL agent but it gave me an error when i tried to set schedule part of it. When i browse the net for the solution all said SP3 should solve the issue. i have the following question
1. Since i don't have a single service pack installed, should i install SP2 first then install SP3?
2. when i check the SP3 website in the details part it showed all supported versions of the SQL server 2008R2 but it did not show the developer edition on the list. So would there be a problem if i install SP3 on a SQL 2008R2 developer edition?

Just sp3. Service packs are cumulative.
No problems

Any Service Pack released for SQL Server 2008 R2 is intended for any edition.
Okay to install, IMO.
