Can I install SQL Server Management Studio onto my same workstation where I use Enterprise Manager?
Day-in/Day-out I need EM to perform my job and production work. I don't want to corrupt my EM installation. We've installed SQL2005 onto a test server, and I'd like to start getting my feet wet with SSMS.
Thanks in advance!

Yes. That's how my workstation is configured and I have had no issues. Both can be open at the same time, too.

Also, you can connect to and manage SQL Server 2000 instances with SSMS.

Thanks, Brian and Dan. I think I'll take the leap!

Not sure about DTS packages - looks like SSMS may install an updated version of the DTS dll's and that may cause issues deploying to a SQL 2000 server. Anyone comment on that?
Other than that, no major issues here. I mainly use EM now for permissions (works easier/better than 2005 for some things) and some other minor issues - mostly to see how things were done.
