Is current SQL Server 2008 R2 in CTP or RTM version?

    Hi,

    Is current SQL Server 2008 R2 in CTP version or RTM version?

    If it is RTM, then when it was released?

    Generally, how long you guys wait after a RTM version of SQL Server R2 released to use it for Production? How months it recommended to wait after RTM version released?

    Is RTM version can be used as a Production instance?

    and where can I found this information on Microsoft Website?

    I usually wait till SP1 is released, but this is a bit of an old fashioned mentality as Microsoft release patches more frequently these days in form of Cumulative Updates.
