Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created

  • Download/Install .NET 4 Framework (or latest version)

I understand that the original post is a few years old, but I just ran into this very same error installing on BOOTCAMP partition for my MacBook Pro. I also remember running into the same issue when installing on my Dell a few months ago when installing a new hard drive. Download/Install .NET 4 Framework (or latest version) and you shouldn't get this error.

You might run into another error that asks if you want to check the web or solution, run program, or cancel. Select "run program".

  • What a solution. Bajaj technology(indians will know)

  • Try running the installer with "Run as Administrator"

  • try to use "Run as Administrator" (Right click the application file > Run as Administrator) this works for me for almost same configuration.

  • It realy works, thanx for this help

  • You right click on file Setup and Run as administrator ^_^

    It's a solution 🙂

    Good luck

  • hi

i had this error and when i install Windows Installer in Setup package \x86 or any\redist\Windows Installer

    my problem was solved

  • Create the temp folder under the c: drive and copy all 2008 sql instalaion files under the temp dir and run as administrator.

right click the setup.exe and select run as administrator.

    It works.

  • Close All The Open Windows except setup window then the problem will resolve automatically.

  • I had a similar result. After I closed the Server Manager window I was able to re-launch the SQL install but then the checks found the server needed to be rebooted before I could continue.

  • Closing other windows also worked for me. Thanks for the tip!
