I recently purchased SQL Server 2005 Standard and have ftp'd it up to my server. Via RDP I am trying to install it. I keep getting the following msg:
"The SQL Server product key is not valid. To proceed, re-enter the product key values from the SQL Server installation CD sleeve."
I thought it might be the existing SQL Server 2005 Express installation that was confusing it - so I removed it - but I am still getting the same msg.
Anyone have any ideas?

You need to go back to whoever you bought it from and get the license key from them.

The problem is what is says. The key you're entering is not valid.
