Are you planning on asking the questions or on answering them?

Here's my personal favourite to spring:
It's 3pm on a Friday, your production OLTP environment is down, every hour down costs the company one million dollars. People are phoning constantly, folks are rushing the hallways, running into your work area and freaking out wanting to know what you are doing, and why it's not fixed yet.
What do you do?
That separates the men from the boys (or women from the girls)

they are asking me, any good websites with good questions?

whats the answer?

There's no hard and fast answer. That's the point, you either got it, or you don't.
If you can't answer then you should be looking at nothing more than a junior DBA position.

besides research and bring the database online i dont know what else?

The question has nothing to do with your skill as a DBA. Knowing SQL is but a part of the job.

Lock the door, take the phone off the hook, and GET TO WORK!!!!

Deflect to the manager.
Say you are working on it and will provide regular updates every 15 minutes.
Put poeple at ease and let them know you are in control...oh, and don't show panic

I like Alvin's answer. Reminds me of my days in the Air Force back in England. If the computer crashed, the first thing we did was take the phone off the hook. Didn't matter if it was days, swings, or mids; we didn't want to be disturbed while working on the problem.

Hmmm, blame me not for Air Force flashback. Alvin's comment it was.
