Lynn, I bet they figured since they survived Y2K, the whole thing was just fine. They didn't realize there was going to be a J10K problem a few years later.
They survived Y2K because I did the Y2K remediation. This table was not a part of that remediation and at the time I hadn't seen the problem at the time. And the real problem was that they dismissed me when I brought the problem up to management with the excuse that we would be off that application before there was a problem. Guess what, it is 10 years later and they are still running that application. It isn't going to go away easily.
